The time between Christmas and Lent is a time of revelation, epiphany. We call to mind the myriad ways God’s love is revealed to us: in Scripture, through words sung and spoken, through the teachings and actions of Jesus, through other people who act as channels of God’s grace to us and around us, through nature as signs of new life begin to appear with the coming of spring. There are signs of God’s love extended to all that God has created all around us if we but have eyes to see.
We understand that God has given us the task of being God’s people in this place, the mission of sharing God’s love in all the ways we can: with each other, with people in Greenville, Christians and non-believers, with all God’s creation.
God has blessed us with gifts to for doing God’s work in the world. And together using our gifts and trusting in God’s grace, we are able to participate in the challenges of God’s work.
United Methodists understand that we are continually growing in faith throughout our entire lives. Let us continue to grow in God’s grace and love and grow in loving those around us.
We welcome all to join us in the journey of faith,
Ann
