Kavanaugh UMC engages in local missions through the generosity
of our members. The church also contributes to national and international
missions supported by the United Methodist Church’s Global
Board of Missions.
Local Missions
FISH
Habitat for Humanity

National Missions
KUMC contributes financial support for victims of natural and manmade
disasters across the country. The church has also participated in
a “flood bucket” project to help supply the immediate
needs of flood victims.

International Missions
Kavanaugh members join with individuals from other Methodist churches
to build housing in Juarez, Mexico. Whole neighborhoods of substantial
concrete houses have been built under the direction of Jose Luis
Ramirez, director of northern Mexico Methodist Missions, to replace
the cardboard and wood slat shelters occupied by needy families.
The Mexico mission changes not only the living circumstances of
impoverished Mexican families – it changes the lives of the
volunteers who build not just houses, but friendships in a project
that brings all of us closer to God.
Kavanaugh contributes to the United Methodist Church’s Global
Board of Missions through our annual apportionments. The church
also provides direct support to some projects, including financial
support of a church in Russia (funds helped build and equip the
church) and donations for tsunami relief.
